Tyler Perry Explains Why He Offered Prince Harry & Meghan Markle His Home During Their 'Difficult Time'
Tyler Perry is opening up about his friendship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. In a new interview on NBC’s Today with Hoda and Jenna on Wednesday (September 21), the 53-year-old filmmaker explained why he offered one his homes in California to the Duke and Duchess and their son Archie after they stepped down as senior members of the royal family in March 2020. “It was a very difficult time for them,” Tyler explained. “What I know about the two of them, and I wish the world knew, how much these two people love each other. “They found each other out of all these odds against them finding each other,” he continued. “They found each other and the love they have is really, really moving and I wanted to do anything I could to support them.” Tyler then went on to gush about Harry and Meghan‘s relationship, saying, “If I don’t have that [love], what she and Harry have, I don’t want it. That’s really amazing.” In her 2021 interview with Oprah, Meghan talked about how Tyler provided her family with security after they moved away from England.
