Alicia Keys Reacts to Request for Sequel to Her Usher Duet 'My Boo' On Its 19th Anniversary

Alicia Keys and Usher raced to the top of the charts 19 years ago when they linked up to release their sultry duet “My Boo.” Added to a deluxe edition of Usher‘s album Confessions, it became one of the biggest hits of the year. Years later, fans are still interested in hearing another collaboration from the duo. On Tuesday (August 29), the song’s 19th anniversary, Alicia made it very clear that she was aware of the request. Both Alicia and Usher took to X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday to repost a message commemorating the song’s birthday. The former took it one step further when she reacted to another message. “Love this track,” a fan enthused. “Can we get a sequel to this like already?” While Alicia didn’t promise anything, she responded to the message with several eye emojis. She also tagged Usher and their co-writer and producer Jermaine Dupri. So far, neither of them have responded. We’ll let you know if we get some good news! Earlier this month Usher opened up about a time when he acted as a nanny for a major pop icon at the very start of their careers. Check out Alicia Key’s response below and revisit “My Boo” up top…
