Brendan Fraser's comeback tour continues at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, where he's being lauded for his performance in The Whale. The 54-year-old actor was all smiles on the red carpet on Tuesday, posing with his partner Jeanne Moore and The Air I Breathe co-star Sarah Michelle Gellar. Fraser hit the red carpet before receiving the American Riviera Award at The Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara, California. Fraser is up for his first Academy Award for his portrayal of obese English teacher Charlie in The Whale, going up against Austin Butler (Elvis), Colin Farrell (The Banshees of Inisherin), Paul Mescal (Aftersun) and Bill Nighy (Living). Fraser joins other American Riviera winners such as Kristen Stewart, Delroy Lindo, Renée Zellweger, Viggo Mortenson, Sam Rockwell, Jeff Bridges, Michael Keaton, Rachel McAdams, Mark Ruffalo, Patricia Arquette, Ethan Hawke, Robert Redford, Quentin Tarantino, Martin Scorsese, Annette Bening, Sandra Bullock, Mickey Rourke, Tommy Lee Jones, Forrest Whitaker, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Kevin Bacon and Diane Lane. Fraser stepped out with black horn-rimmed glasses that matched his classic black suit on the red carpet. He rocked a black suit coat, white dress shirt, black tie, black pants and shiny black dress shoes on the red carpet. He stepped out with partner Jeanne Moore, a professional makeup artist, who opted for a strapless red gown with a slit up the leg. She also held a small clutch and completed her fashionable look with a pair of silver heels for the ceremony. The couple made their red carpet debut at the Venice in September for the world premiere screening of The Whale, though it's unclear how long they've been together for. Fraser also posed on the red carpet with Sarah Michelle Gellar, who stepped out with a lacy and frilly black dress. She accessorized with a pair of small silver hoop earrings while carrying a tiny black clutch for her red carpet appearance. The Buffy the Vampire Slayer star completed her look with a pair of black platform heels.
