Conor McGregor's Controversial Rise Is Documented In 'McGregor Forever'
Conor McGregor‘s rise to the top has been filled with controversy and questions. The 34-year-old UFC star is featured in a four-part documentary as he gets ready for another comeback coaching on The Ultimate Fighter and fighting Michael Chandler. He was ranked as the world’s highest-paid athlete by Forbes in 2021, earning a reported $180 million. “Conor is the most famous guy in the Octagon,” a commentator says in the trailer. “Is he the best fighter?” Conor is a former featherweight and lightweight UFC champion but lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 and most recently lost to Dustin Poirier twice in a row. He suffered a broken leg in his last fight and has been rehabilitating the leg since having surgery. “This life, it’s an up-and-down mental game. I’m gonna fight for me,” Conor says. “And I don’t let defeat faze me. The true champions rise again.” In 2021, Conor was arrested for alleged “dangerous driving” in Dublin, Ireland. He also got into a scuffle with Machine Gun Kelly on the 2021 VMAs. McGregor Forever will be released May 17 on Netflix. Conor recently donated a $1 million check to the 9/11 charity Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
