Eddie Murphy Takes Shots at Will Smith’s Oscar Slap in Golden Globes 2023 Speech
Eddie Murphy is sharing three things that contribute to the success of his career. The 61-year-old actor was honored with the Cecil B. DeMille award at the 2023 Golden Globe Awards tonight (January 10), spoke on stage to the crowd. It was during his speech where he shared the three things, and it included one thing that poked fun at Will Smith's infamous Oscar slap last year. As he started to wrap up his speech, Eddie spoke directly to the "new, up-and-coming dreamers and artists that are in the room tonight." "I want to let you know that there is a definitive blueprint that you can follow to achieve success, prosperity, longevity and peace of mind," he said. "It’s a blueprint, and I’ve followed it my whole career." Eddie's three "very simple" things are: "pay your taxes, mind your business and keep Will Smith's wife's name out of your f***ing mouth!"
