Serena Williams Reveals Why She Didn’t Tell Daughter Olympia About Her Pregnancy
Serena Williams is sharing new details about her pregnancy! While attending the 2023 Met Gala on Monday (May 1), the 41-year-old tennis superstar and husband Alexis Ohanian revealed that they were expecting their second child. In a new video, Serena revealed why she didn't daughter Olympia, 5, that she was going to be a big sister until the day of the Met Gala. "Olympia does not know right now that I am pregnant, so the big reveal will be at the Met, and then before we leave, I'll tell Olympia," Serena shared in the first video on her newly launched YouTube channel. "The reason I haven't told her is because she can't keep a secret," Serena admitted. The video then shares some footage of Serena getting ready for the Met Gala, then cuts off right as Serena and Alexis, 40, start tell Olympia about the baby. "Stay tuned … link in bio to subscribe ✨," Serena captioned the video, seemingly teasing more from that special moment in a YouTube video at a later date. In August 2022, Serena announced that she was retiring from tennis so that she could focus on expanding her family.
